Here at Lucan Newsletter we are privileged to have had access to so many photographic records over the years, and this week's offering is no exception. From the album of Annie Howlett of Weir View, the above photo shows a group of workers at Hills Mill in the early 1950s. These were some of the lucky people who had jobs and didn't have to take the boat in that era.
