A poem written by Eoin McCarthy a 6th year Adamstown Community College student:

nbsp;

Loss

Moments become memories
Times are forgotten
Happiness drifts with each failed topic
Dry eyes ring the room

My thoughts indistinct
Apart from my sorrow
As my raw heart aches
Unknown to this feeling of forfeiture

As the days proceed
My mind in a circle of beliefs
In my juvenile confidence I aimed for reassurance
But to no avail

As my youth snowballs I acquire the knowledge that
Tables turn
Bridges burn
You live and learn
